Lake Elmore Ice Out
Try your hand at guessing when the ice will leave Lake Elmore. This is an annual tradition going back decades. This year, we’re bringing the tradition online so folks that can’t make it to the Store can still participate. The winner(s) take 50% of the ticket sales and the other 50% goes to the Elmore Community Trust to help pay for the amazing renovation project. See below for full rules. Online
To participate online, add the number of guesses you’d like to make to your shopping cart. When you check out, you’ll be given the opportunity to enter in the date(s) you want to guess. One date per guess and one guess per date. We will add your guesses to the chart at the Store.
At the Store
If you want to participate at the Store, just go to the Store! Someone at the register can help you sign up your date guesses.
The Rules
1) Guessing commences on 3/14/2026. Guessing ends on March 20th (or when the ice goes out).
2) One purchased “guess” give the purchaser one date.
3) The “Ice Out” date is determined by an independent jury of Elmore residents that are not participating in the event.
4) The winner(s) will receive 50% of the proceeds from ticket sales. The other 50% will be donated to the Elmore Community Trust.
5) Winners will be notified by email.
